Acquired the LG 42GA6400 a week ago, and extremely beginning to like it. Takes a little to get accustomed to google's TV, several options, nevertheless its pretty. I love the remote, When you are dealing with applications includes a wii like function to maneuver the cursor round the screen by moving the remote(you may also use directional buttons) includes a good keyboard on back.
Loving the PIP feature where I'm able to maintain a google TV application but nonetheless watch television. I "cut" the cord (well have fundamental cable now) and Google chrome (internet browser) is effective and that i can view allot of videos (including expensive based) like HGTV (wife) and also the Daily show. Also provide amazon . com prime, in order to stream allot of shows free of charge (has netflix too, but no Hulu on any google tv).
The LG 42GA6400 includes 2 IR blasters to manage your cable box (for those who have one, has built-in OTA tuner) and Audio-video equipment. I've got a Tivo for Digital recording device (Google TV at this time doesn't have Digital recording device capabilities but could control DVR's with IR blaster) and also the TV controls it very good (see below)
Added an exterior 200gb HD towards the USB port around the TV. Can store applications and media files onto it (needed to format it Fat32, use FAT32-Format home windows application). Most applications may also access my NAS to experience media.
Applications from google play store:
Vimu player, plays every file I throw in internet marketing.
Mizuu a media center like application which will look @ all of your files and download information on the filmOrexhibits, along screen art and set it in an exceedingly eye pleasing way.
Mitty, just take a look..insane....
The onlive application (allows you stream & play video games using their servers towards the TV) isn't working at this time. Onlive technical support stated they're focusing on it but no ETA.
Also had an problem with my Tivo premiere not receiving the best funnel codes from google TV for OTA channels (IR blaster transmits whole amounts rather than 2.1, 2.2, 4.2 etc.), however I've fundamental cable to ensure that is not an issue anymore
TV picture is great, like the majority of TV's today. With OTA the standard is amazing, but cable still looks great too. The are a lot of choices to fool using the picture which i haven't yet tackle aside from true motion that we switched off (Like all TV which has this, makes any show seem like a cleaning soap opera)
To date the LG 42GA6400 does precisely what I needed into it do, let me cut the majority of my cable bill (just internet and fundamental cable now)saving me allot of $$ and my spouse grants, and may utilize it with little fuss
